Staying Alone and Isolation; The difference

Hi guys! It’s  been a while I posted anything here. Well, I have been so caught up with work and life that I almost abandoned my first love, writing. I'm back now and I am going to be dropping a lot of gist here.
Today, I want us to examine a crucial topic which is; the difference between staying alone and Isolation. This is one sensitive topic.

Recently a lot has been happening in my life and at a point I felt overwhelmed. I couldn't just explain how I was feeling, I wanted to escape but where to? And the worst thing was that I wanted to talk but at the same time, I wanted to fight through alone (some of us are used to facing life alone). Well, I finally picked my diary and poured out all the pent up emotions through writing. This period I was quite distance from everyone and all I wanted was to just stay alone, but at the same time, I realized I was isolating myself.

Guys! What do you think? I know that wanting to be alone is healthy. No matter how surrounded you are with friends, there are stages in your life where you've got to be by yourself, go through somethings alone and make some decisions all alone. At the same time one can easily slip into isolation by staying alone too long. In fact I think staying to one's self is addictive. Yes! Because you enjoy your own company so much that you get so used to yourself.

Another thing I observed is that sometimes we need our friends and loved ones to push a little more when we say we are fine. Can you just look into my eyes and know something is wrong? Anyone been down that lane? That extra push is what make some of us open up. Being tough is good but sometimes you can't seem to handle all that life throws at you alone and all you want is just someone to share with. At that point when you say you are fine, you so not want the other person to take your word for it. It becomes very frustrating when everyone believes you are fine and life just continues.

I guess we all have different ways of handling stress. For me, when life happens, I stay away from people and try to get my life back, for some others, that is when they need so many people around. Well, whichever way you deal with issues just don't stay down. No matter how big an issue it is, it will pass, you will come out better and stronger.

One last thing guys, check up on that one friend that always act tough. Sometimes the people that act the toughest are not really as tough as they act. They've got a lot on their plate. You might want to press when they say they are fine.

Don’t let life happen to you, happen to life!
